Hello, everyone. I'm Pei, a research student of Anme sensei’s
empowerment lab. It’s my honor to attend and record this workshop.
The theme of this workshop is about “Theory and research on
the application of Interaction Rating Scale (IRS) of childcare and its support.”
At the beginning, Wang san and Zhang san first introduced themselves,
and introduced the research fields and objects of empowerment lab, of
which empowerment for child development and child care is one of the
important components. Then, Wang san introduced that today’s workshop
was divided into the first half and the second half, and the content of the
first half included four parts.
The first part was meaning and international application. It included
theoretical background, definition, category and evaluation of social
competence. And IRS was one of the important methods of social
competence evaluation. Wang San also explained the relevant contents
of IRS, including development background, representative measurement
indicators, originality and international application.
The second part was implement method. It included the purpose,
object, setting, reliability and validity of IRS. Moreover, Wang san cited
examples of tasks to illustrate that different research measures should
be taken for children of different ages.
The third part was evaluation method. In this part, Wang san distinguishes
the evaluation subdomains and items, and focuses on them. It included five
subdomains of children, five subdomains of caregivers, and comprehensive
relational evaluation of children and caregivers.
The fourth part was the question and answer session. Wang san
asked participants about their initial impressions of IRS, as well as
their views and suggestions on evaluation methods. The participants
all thought that this was an interesting and meaningful research.
And the classification of the scale and the evaluation criteria were
clear, quantitative and easy to use. At the same time, some participants
asked questions about the parts they did not understand, including
the background of the research design, some details of the evaluation
methods, etc.
After a lunch break, the workshop entered the second half. The theme
of the second half was "How to use IRS to evaluate caregiver-child interaction".
In order to enable participants to better understand IRS, Zhang san used
examples to guide them to experience the actual research process. At the
beginning, Zhang san played a video of a mother guiding her child to build blocks
as an example, and asked participants to judge whether the corresponding options
were correct on the scale received in advance. Then she collected everyone's
data by asking questions to the participants, and finally released the results
through playback the video, and analyzed the specific reasons.
Later, in order to deepen everyone's impression of IRS, and ensure
that everyone can appreciate the interest and significance of IRS, Zhang
san played a video of a father guiding his child to build blocks for comparison.
Then, participants practiced again according to the basic steps they just
learned, and finally analyzed the reasons for the data differences in the
scale. In addition, participants also discussed in detail what impressed
them most and how to use IRS correctly.
In a word, the contents of IRS workshop are specific and very
meaningful. We can find that empowerment lab provides participants
with Japanese English bilingual texts throughout the whole process,
so as to facilitate participants to understand professional knowledge.
During this period, videos and a large number of pictures are interspersed
to increase interest, which can better arouse the resonance of
participants. Moreover, after each part of PPT presentation, there is
special Q&A time to help participants better understand the difficulties
that are not clear.

Through this workshop, we knew the design idea and evaluation
criteria of IRS, and learned how to correctly use IRS to collect relevant data.
So we all enjoy it, and look forward to the next time!
Hello, everyone. I'm Pei, a research student of Anme sensei’s
empowerment lab. It’s my honor to attend and record this meeting.
The theme of today's meeting is about “the future plans and
proposals of Childcare Power-up Workshop.”
At the beginning, everyone briefly reviewed the experience and
achievements of childcare research in the previous year, and then
presented their respective objectives and specific plans.
About the objectives, members mainly put forward several key points,
including improving the professional quality and skills of childcare
workers, creating a good care and education environment for childcare
workers and children, and providing all kinds of support for them.
As for the plan, many different methods had been put forward.
Firstly, in order to improve the professional quality and skills of
childcare workers, a professional visual threshold should be established
to ensure that the qualification of childcare workers is correct and
reasonable. At the same time, care workers should be provided with
additional opportunities to learn professional knowledge and continuously
improve their knowledge level, so as to ensure their professionalism.
It’s also a very important link to strengthen the communication and
cooperation between childcare workers, so as to improve the childcare
level of teams in different regions.
Secondly, we should create a good environment for childcare and
education, including cooperation with the government, universities and
organizations to provide policy, economic and social support to childcare
workers. It’s important to provide them with a variety of technical support,
including online publicity and the development of online educational tools.
At the same time, we should increase communication opportunities
between childcare workers and children and their parents in a correct and
meaningful way, which is also conducive to creating a harmonious and
efficient childcare atmosphere.
In addition, we all believe that it’s necessary to discuss and share the
latest information and research data through Anme sensei's empowerment
seminar and cafe. It is an effective way to promote childcare research
through the advice and help of members from different countries and regions
in the lab.

From today’s meeting, we learned that childcare is a meaningful
undertaking closely combined with many aspects. Through the efforts,
the active communication and cooperation of many childcare workers,
and the support of all sectors of society, the childcare career can be
carried out smoothly and make continuous progress.
We learn a lot today and look forward to the next time!
Hello, everyone. I'm Pei, a research student of Anme sensei’s empowerment lab.
It’s my honor to attend and record this meeting.
This is a meeting entitled "Build solutions for parent-child attachment relationship
to prevent children's mental health problems" presented by Kitahara san.
At first, he introduced in detail that the company is mainly engaged in the research
and development of materials, housing and health care, among which the research on
chronic heart failure and biosensor is the good field of the company's DX enterprise
development department. As a trainee of the program manager training program
operated by the JST, Kitahara san defined the social problem, made the necessity
from the investigation and search of the field, considered the solution which made
innovative science and technology development, dropped it into the business model,
and carried out the promotion to the social packaging by receiving mentor's advice.
On the topic of this meeting, Kitahara san conducted a survey in advance and
found that the number of people aged 0 to 24 in Japan is decreasing, while the
number of people with mental diseases in this age group is increasing. Meanwhile,
among the 38 countries participating in the survey, Japanese children ranked first
in physical health, but last in mental health.
Therefore, he planned to use DX technology, from application development to
video analysis, grasped the parent-child relationship through AI learning, and
provided suggestions and practical support services based on the analysis results,
so that parents could find acceptable and appropriate parenting methods for
couples who are worried that their parenting methods will have an unknown
impact on their children.

Members of the empowerment lab made some comments on this, praising
the unique development of this application and the interesting research direction.
Some members also asked some questions, including the difficulty of cultivating
technical talents who can use AI, and how to balance the income and distribution
of service funds. For members' questions, Kitahara san explained the current
situation and difficulties of the research, and discussed in detail with Anme sensei
about the research object, data source, cost, advantages, risks and so on.
Anme sensei said that this is an interesting and meaningful research, so we
should take a long-term view and think about the support services in a few
years as far as possible, which will make the system more comprehensive.
In terms of application, the specific content was not easy to understand,
so Anme sensei thought that it would be much better if Kitahara san could
establish a detailed related project and continue to promote it. At the
same time, sensei also mentioned that in order to ensure the preciseness
and accuracy of this research, the data should be as complete as possible,
especially the data in infancy should be retained as much as possible,
because the situation at that stage is also very influential.
Finally, Anme sensei believed that although there were still many details
worth exploring in many aspects, such as parents, children, organizations
and technology, this study was a very meaningful study on the whole, and
looked forward to subsequent exchanges and cooperation.
Through this meeting, we learned that AI can be so closely combined
with improving children's health, which provides a reference for the
research method of children's empowerment, and is of enlightening
and important significance.
We all enjoy it and look forward to the next meeting.
