Hello, everyone! I am CUI, the M1 student in our empowerment lab.
Today, Professor Arimura gave us a wonderful lecture about
the empowerment of abuse prevention of children.
Professor Arimura explained the trends in the number of incident handling cases of
child abuse at the child consultation center.
From 1990 to 2008, the number of child abuse has increased year by year.
He analyzed the main cause of the increase in child abuse. As a cause of the
increase in psychological abuse, police notices increased about cases where
there was violence against spouses in families where they live together.
Child counseling center Increase in a notice accompanying increased
public awareness of child abuse by citizens and schools and related institutions
due to public relations of nationwide common dial and mass media coverage.

And Professor Arimura introduced his research to us.
He conducted international comparison studies.
He compared the information comprehensible in the same framework of each country
and compiled the details based on that information as a report and examined
the direction after comparison with Japanese social care.
Professor Arimura found it difficult to introduce overseas systems,
but I realized that it was easier to learn from the processes and trial and error of
each country leading to that system.
And he extracted the contexts and lessons that can be utilized for the child's family home
welfare policy from Japan and arranged it in a comparable form.
I have suggested social indicators and evaluation methods that are important for
Japan from the mindset.
Lastly, Professor Arimura introduced us towards empowerment to create a mechanism
for abuse prevention.
The mechanism of abuse prevention is divided into two parts.
A society that allows you to stay close to the parties and accept the lives of the parties.
From the viewpoint of "support", thinking about what should be arranged as a
system and what cannot be adjusted by the system.
It was a very meaningful speech which made us understand the situation of abuse prevention.
We should use what we learned today in our research or studies.
Thanks, Professor Arimura a lot for the wonderful speech.
Hello, everyone.
This is Sun, the new trainee in this lab.
The weather becomes really hot recently and I wish you all can keep healthy.
We spent a meaningful day in last Wednesday.
Firstly, we welcomed Tong-san, coming back our lab after graduation six years ago.
She is now a professor in Fudan University, China.

Every member smiled happily in this photo.
We enjoyed in food and communication just like we are a family.
Then, Tong-san gave us a wonderful presentation about
early child development and care in China to us.
As her presentation, ECD in China is far less developed than Japan.
And we all understood the necessity of the development about ECD,
especially children below three years old.
In the feed-back time, all of us agreed that cooperation of government is indispensable.
I think this unforgettable day will be a unique memory in our life.
Let's look forward to the future time.

Hello everyone, this is HU, the new trainee in this lab.
It’s a little bit hot these days and I hope you all can take care of yourselves.
Last Friday we were so lucky to listen to a speech which given by Takechi sensei,
who is the leader of the team of Medical Support in House,
in University of Tsukuba Tokyo Campus.
The topic of this speech was about
taking successful aging as the goal.

In this speech, firstly, Takechi sensei introduced the situation of
the medical support in-house which based on the reality
and practice to provide the outline of the structure.
This care system considered about the domicile of elderly.
Basing on this, there are 3 needs or issues, which lead to 3 phases to
construct and use this care system.
After supporting consulting and constructing ICT,
it comes to the most important issue,
how to use and provide cooperative support.
Takechi sensei introduced the cooperation of multi-occupation fields
applying in the care system of medical supporting house
and preventing disease progression specifically.
They use ICT to provide cooperative support from multi-occupation fields,
and Takechi sensei showed us the operation pattern of this medical support system.
On the other hand, as for the application in preventing disease progression,
they came up with concepts of regional symbiosis society and medical care system
provided by next generation.
Out of the overall considerations which contain these two factors,
the image of this system is basing on the factors of multi-occupation cooperation,
and collecting comprehensive and multifaceted information
about precaution and disease progression.
Finally, because of the time, after answering some questions posed by participants,
Takechi sensei ended this great speech.
This speech made us know more about the new medical support modes.
And it is a very important factor in empowerment.
Thanks for Takechi Sensei’s wonderful speech.
